The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is the administrative unit in the local
church where staff and congregational interests are integrated to focus on the
mission of the church. The SPRC serves as the “governing board” in an
advisory capacity related to personnel administration. This committee
consists of between 5 and 9 persons, professing members who are divided
into three year classes. It oversees the work of all staff. It meets in closed
sessions and is committed to confidentiality. As members of the church are
faithful in their service and commitment, and as they exhibit integrity of
character, they are likely to be recommended as candidates to serve on this
committee. You should speak with our pastor or the present Chair of this
Committee if you feel you can contribute to this important work.
